Architecture and ScalabilityTo ensure maximum portability and compatibility with existing IT environments, CenterView is based on a standards compliant, multi-tier, client-server architecture. CenterView is a very modern solution built using the latest technologies by a single development group (i.e. CenterView is not a mashup of different products bolted together after acquisitions). Everything in CenterView is designed from the start to work together as a whole. Client - Zero Install
The CenterView client is a Rich Internet Application which runs inside a browser - i.e. there is no client software to install. CenterView runs on Windows, Unix, Linux or Macs, both inside and outside your office using regular secure https connections. Server
The CenterView server is built using Java which makes access to other standard and emerging technologies very simple. The server supports all major platforms: UNIX, Linux or Windows. DatabaseCenterView configuration and analysis data is held within any major JDBC compliant database e.g. Oracle, DB2, Sybase, MySQL. Performance and ScalabilityCenterView divides all analysis tasks up and distributes them over all CPU cores. This means that CenterView scales linearly and makes full use of the CPU power that made available to it. For most small to medium organisations, regular commodity hardware is sufficient to handle all analysis requirements and for larger organisations CenterView can scale up by allocating more server CPUs. For very large processing requirements e.g. full and accurate rating of 1 billion call records in a 12 hour period, CenterView can be "invisibly" clustered across multiple machines i.e. just add another machine to the cluster and CenterView will make full use of its CPU power. This clustering capability also provides you with a High Availability solution when CenterView is used in a mission critical environment. However, performance is not just about how many CPUs you have. It's about how effectively you use them. The CenterView modelling screens include advanced features to enable users to fine tune the performance of their models e.g. providing hyper-fast access to user-configurable caching and reference technology.
