Accipia Ltd is a software product company specialising in Revenue Assurance solutions for the Telecommunications industry based around our flagship product CenterView.
CenterView comprises five integrated modules which together support each phase of a structured methodology to manage the iterative rollout of an enterprise-wide revenue assurance "Control Framework". CenterView's built-in, rules-based analysis engine and configurable dashboards provide automated, continuous monitoring of your entire revenue chain; from initial order to final settlement.
Full Lifecycle Management
We know that there are two lifecycles that a mature Revenue Assurance department needs to manage; the "Revenue Lifecycle" and the "Assurance Lifecycle".
Managing the Revenue Lifecycle involves monitoring every stage of revenue generation and collection from the original order to final settlement with your customers and business partners.
Managing the Assurance Lifecycle means implementing a strong methodology covering all phases from initial risk assessment, through implementation of an effective "Control Framework", to problem resolution, Control Framework evaluation and improvement.
CenterView is the only product available today which provides all the tools you need to efficiently manage both your revenue and assurance lifecycles from end to end.
Configure not Code
CenterView's unique architecture, and in-built methodology support, enable an effective Control Framework to be rapidly deployed as a series of small manageable projects each having a defined business case and expected return on investment. During the early projects Accipia's experienced consultants can provide expert support to your own team; not only in the deployment of CenterView but also in the day to day running of your revenue assurance department to free up your internal staff to take a greater role in the project.
And since CenterView is architected on the principle of "Configure not Code", within a short space of time your own team will be able to continue the iterative rollout of a comprehensive Revenue Assurance Control Framework without additional external support.
CenterView’s data collection architecture minimises the integration task of gathering and combining data from a wide range of systems; not only network traffic but also data from CRM, provisioning, mediation, inventory, rating, billing, collections, General Ledger and so on.
Combined with our flexible, rules based analysis engine this means that CenterView can not only monitor CDR flow and processing but also allows you to define and monitor a host of additional KPI’s derived from data taken from any point in the full end to end revenue chain; from the original order to final settlement.
This flexibility allows CenterView to address a wider range of RA issues than any other system: providing coverage of the entire revenue lifecycle in each of the major assurance categories.
Traffic AssuranceThe most traditional form of revenue assurance; monitoring the flow of billable events from one system to another to ensure that all billable traffic is collected, that it is processed correctly and that none is lost before reaching the customer's bill.
Data AssuranceWith multiple integrated systems, network, tariff, service and customer data is often duplicated in separate databases for each system. Data assurance constantly checks the consistency of this data to ensure that it is synchronised across systems e.g. that network, CRM, rating and billing data is consistent.
Process AssuranceEven where your systems are working correctly, procedural errors can still lead to revenue leakage. CenterView understands your processing lifecycles and can check that changes to system data are taking place in the correct sequence and in the expected timeframes.
Settlement AssuranceFinally, no operator exists in isolation. To complete the revenue assurance picture you must monitor the flow of revenue across all of your external business relationships. Settlement assurance monitors all payments, both inbound and outbound, to ensure that you collect everything you are owed and settle accurately with your partners.
CenterView provides the ability to deploy a wide array of controls and KPI’s across your entire revenue chain. But where do you start? And as the number of controls increases how do you manage these in the most cost-effective fashion?
To address these issues, CenterView has been built around the concept of an “Assurance Lifecycle”. CenterView comprises five integrated modules which together provide a structured process to help you specify, prioritise, implement, monitor and improve a comprehensive, enterprise-wide “Control Framework” in an iterative fashion.
At the start of the process, CenterView’s Plan module helps you identify and document all of your revenue assurance risks from across the enterprise and define a hierarchical Control Framework that would enable you to monitor and prevent the leakage associated with each risk.
By documenting the likely financial impact of the risk against the estimated timescales and costs of the associated controls you can build a business case for each control to help you prioritise the implementation and rollout of subsets of the Framework as a collection of discrete manageable projects.
Each set of prioritised controls can then be implemented using the “drag and drop” facilities of the Design module and the implemented KPI’s added to user-defined dashboards within the Monitor application.
The Resolve and Evaluate modules allow you to deal efficiently with alarms as they are raised and assess the effectiveness of the implemented controls providing feedback for the next iteration of development to help improve the entire Framework in future iterations.
And because these modules are all integrated, information from Design, Monitor, Resolve and Evaluate is fed back into the Plan Module to give you a clear management view of the overall status of both the deployment of your Control Framework and its overall effectiveness allowing you to provide proof positive that your revenue streams are finally under control.
